‘D’ Hajjara China Muslim Tour

Recognising the increasing demand for Halal travel amongst the Muslim market, Ken-Air Leisure has started its customised tour packages for Muslims to visit China.

The tour packages are tailored to ensure control over the quality of its services. It includes providing Halal meals by certified Halal restaurants and Muslim restaurants in China and partnering with Muslim tour operators in the country.

The tours, known as ‘D’ Hajjara’ which means migration, offers travellers opportunities to meet with the local Muslim communities and also to pray at several of the Chinese mosques throughout the tour.

There are about 30 million Muslims in China and 10 out of the 56 local tribes are Muslim tribes.

One of the scheduled stops in the tour includes the home of Mahamad Gamison She Junyou in Xian, one of China’s most talented Arabic calligraphers. The tours may also include visits to monasteries, orphanages and homes to other Muslims families in China.

“Although this (scheduled stops) isn’t part of the standard tour package, we feel that this side trips will make it more memorable for our Muslim customers,” said Ken-Air Leisure head of Muslim outbound tours Arosa Ayob.

Ken-Air D’Hajjara tours include the following destinations in China-Beijing, Xian, Chongqing, Yangtze River, Wuhan, Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Tianjin. The tours range from four to fifteen days and are priced between RM1,700 and RM7,000.
