MALAYSIA: Dual Superfood appointed principal licensed franchise holder for ChicKing

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) — Superfood Sdn Bhd has been appointed the principal licensed franchise holder for the ChicKing fast food restaurant in Malaysia.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed today between Nas International Ltd of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Dual Superfood in Dubai.

ChicKing was established in 2000 by Ak Mansoor and has since become an international halal product with a presence in seven countries across Asia and Africa.

According to Mansoor, the MoU is a platform for ChicKing to continue its progress towards the opening of a chain of fast food restaurants throughout Malaysia.

In a statement today, Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (PNS) said the signing of the MoU was witnessed by Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Datuk Hasan Malek, who is leading a Malaysian delegation on a working visit to the UAE.

“Malaysia is capable of realising ChicKing’s vision of making the halal fast food restaurant the biggest in the country, noting that we are the trailblazer for the global halal industry.

“I am also confident that with the involvement of PNS, it will help ChicKing pursue its vision of having more than 1000 branches by 2020,” he added.

PNS is an agency under the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, with the mandate to lead the development of Malaysia’s franchise industry.
