When will Muslims realise that part of jihad is also to care for the environment? We're paying too high a price for neglecting God's natural treasures. There is a war that needs to be addressed: prolonged environmental abuse is detrimental to the next generation of the ummah. New Study Reveals Little Economic Benefit of Polar Bear Trophy Hunting in Canada

A new study, The Economics of Polar Bear Trophy Hunting in Canada, jointly released on Friday by Humane Society International and International Fund for Animal Welfare, reveals that polar bear hunts provide little economic benefit to Canada’s Inuit communities. The study shows that the income derived from polar bear trophy hunting amounts to only a small fraction of Northern Canada’s economy and is concentrated in few hands.

Coffee: The favoured hot drink in Australia

Sales of hot drink products in Australia surpassed AUD1,350 million in the year 2008 and is expected to be worth AUD1,473 million in 2013, with the coffee category accounting for the largest share followed by tea according to Datamonitor’s report “ Hot drinks in Australia to 2013”. The biggest growth in coffee is coming from out-of-home consumption with more and more consumers adopting the idea of café culture. In the tea category, consumers are showing increasing interest towards specialty tea segments such as green tea and herbal tea due to its perceived health and wellness benefits.
