No cases of fake Halal certificates in Sarawak
There have been no cases in Sarawak of the use of fake Halal certificates that had been bought, instead only four cases of misuse of the word "Halal" in business had been detected in the state in the last three years.

Intertek and IHIA enter tripartite co-operation and collaboration on Global Halal Management System with two Halal Certification Bodies

NZ Islamic Fed Questions Indonesian Halal Credentials
The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) has objected to the Indonesian Council of Ulema (MUI)’s move to make mandatory obtaining Halal from the councils own certification before it was sold in its country. The federation’s response came after the MUI, Indonesia's highest authority on Islamic affairs issued a statement last week that many products imported from New Zealand, the US, Australia and some European countries carried Halal labels but did not always trust their certification standards.

Despite huge potential, Muslim countries especially Pakistan continue to overlook the importance of Halal food standardisation and exports, said Masood Khawaja, President of Halal Food Authority (HFA).
