Spain beckons Ayamas for new season of cook show with Malaysian celebrity Chef Wan

The historic Andalusian region provides the backdrop for the eighth season of the 'Mmm…Sedapnya Bersama Ayamas' TV cook show series.

Celebrity Chef Wan returns once again as host for the show which premiered on Tuesday, 7th June at 5.35 pm and will be aired weekly until 26th July and from 13th September to 11th October 2011 over TV3.

With the tagline “Ayamas Espana”, all 13 episodes of the half-hour weekly travel cook show were shot entirely on location in Spain and filmed at various scenic locations such as Seville and Cordoba.

In each episode of the new series, Chef Wan shows viewers two simple and easy to cook new recipes he had created using Ayamas fresh chicken, further processed chicken products such as Ayamas Chicken Donut (Cheese), Ayamas Minced Chicken Meat, Divella pastas, Divella Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Baker’s Street products. Ayamas products are Halal-certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

Inspired in part by the Italian cuisine, some of the new recipes in this series include Nasi Ayam Paella and Fettuccine Fiesta.

There are 26 new recipes catered for a full day’s meal set, including breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as snacks.

“Our show is for homemakers who are on the lookout for new ideas for meals. It is so convenient to whip up a complete meal using any of Ayamas’ new and current further processed products,” said Madam Foo, Managing Director of KFC Marketing Sdn Bhd, in Kuala Lumpur today.

“The show features step-by-step simple all new recipes created by Chef Wan and ways housewives can relate to the Ayamas recipes as meal-solution into their daily lives,” he added.

To tie in with the latest edition of the cook show, Ayamas introduced the Divella line of Extra Virgin olive oil and pastas, specially imported from Italy and exclusively distributed by KFC Marketing Sdn Bhd.

A one litre bottle of Divella Extra Virgin Olive Oil retails at RM27 while a 500g packet of Divella pasta is priced between RM4.50 to RM5.00.

Past episodes of the 'Mmm…Sedapnya Bersama Ayamas' television cook show series were shot in Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bali and Italy.

 “When you mix the delicious taste of Spanish cuisine and the wonderful atmosphere of Andalusia with our premium quality Ayamas products, you get a show that is a must watch for everyone,” said Madam Foo.

“We hope to create greater awareness of our new products and show viewers how they can add zest to our everyday meals.

“Not only that, viewers will also get to learn about the culture, traditions and people of Spain – all from the comfort of your living room,” he added.

Ayamas expects the sales of chicken further processed products to have an increment of at least 10 per cent as a result of the show as compared to the same sales period last year.

Ayamas has spent more than RM1 million on production and media buying for all the new exciting show.

Ayamas recently received the Brand Laureate Award for Best Brands in Consumers – Chicken Based Products for 2010/2011.

It exports products to other countries such as Brunei, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Cambodia.

Each episode of 'Mmm…Sedapnya Bersama Ayamas' will be uploaded on www.ayamas.com.my and Ayamas Malaysia Facebook page as soon as it is aired.
