Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise within Cavill Mall at the base of the Chevron Renassaince Hotel, the Turkish Palace Restaurant was founded in 2001 by Jeff Gunhan and Cen. It offers a full range of Turkish cuisine including vegetarian meals, pides (Turkish pizzas), salads and kebabs complete with a children’s menu. Relax on low-lying sofas outside as you sip a glass of hot or cold elma suya (Turkish apple tea), as you wait to be seated. The interior décor is unmistakably Turkish and has elegance and tastefulness, which would suit either an important occasion or a night out with the family. Whilst usually very busy, Jeff and Cen still take the time and care to ensure that their patrons enjoy their dining experience. Breads are baked fresh daily and make a great accompaniment to dips and sauces. Be sure to ask about sweets, which include baklava and the mouth-watering Turkish delights. At night the mall is lit up; the palm trees and nearby fountain offer an unexpectedly pleasant backdrop to your dining by contrasting the hustle and bustle with the relaxed and comfortable setting.
